This is interface PCB for Trimble Lassen LP GPS module. Interface provides following signals: CMOS/TTL level signals (not inverted) RS232 signal levels (inverted) 1pps and it needs power from +8VDC to +20VDC. Probably it clarifies higher voltages, but it's not tested. Current consumption is 60-70mA @ 14VDC. It is possible to use backup battery type CRx. See pictures. Some tips: - Perform one side PCB. - Drill the holes. - One jumper is needed close to 2mm pitch connector. Locate vias on PCB silk. - The 2mm pitch connector is soldered same side as the other components, not as in PCB silk. See pictures. - Use DOS configuration program provided by Trimble to configure the Trimble Lassen LP GPS for correct output format of TX and NMEA Sentences. At least following are good to be output: GGA, GLL, RMC, VTG. - Kenwood TH-D7 can be connected directly to rs232 level signals. - Capasitors are not critical. All capasitors I used were 10uF 16V. - The capasitor pad sizes are not exactly correct. Good Luck and 73's de Petri oh4mvh
